Students have been learning that many great artist practice drawing their subjects from different angles and different lighting to master their art. Such is the example of Leonardo da Vinci and his study of hands. This week, they will continue to create a study of hands on Manila paper.
Adults pass through many stages in life, and we have been focusing on certain challenges and aspects of adulthood for the past couple weeks. This week we will focus on the concepts of deviance and social control. We will explore theories of deviance, stigmas and stereotypes, and the criminal justice system. This week’s concepts are from Chapter 8 in the textbook.
During this week, the students will be working in handball game. They will have a fitness test with a workout program.
I would like to remind you that all students need to be dressed appropriately for the days that they have P.E. class. Students should refrain from using the following:
– Dresses for the girls
– Jeans (shorts or pants)
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
In order to participate in class activities and receive full credit for the class, students need to wear appropriateclothing for P.E. class.
We will use the word RESPECT to set the main goals forthe year.

Purpose – Understanding how the activity can benefit you.

Remain in supervised areas all the time!
We will continue our Sustainable Development Project this week. On Monday, Ms. Amy will be facilitating an activity with you to get you thinking about systems and solutions. On Tuesday, you will collaborate with your fifth grade partner(s) to come up with a problem and solutions to focus on for your goal. For the rest of the week you will work on problem/solution writing.
On this week, we will focus on:
Express & Exchange Opinions
…over feelings, emotions, and ideas; acquiring more verbs as we unfold the lesson. *Learning the past, present & future conjugation.

Singular: mi/mío, tu/tuyo, su/suyo, su/no se acostumbra
Plural: nuestro/nuestro, su/suyo, su/suyo

HW: Homework will depend on daily exercises or activities that are done in class.
Students will complete at home unfinished classwork.
